The Qura’an:
sura alrahaman:
19. He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together:
20. Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress:
21. Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
22. Out of them come Pearls and Coral:
sura furqan:
53. It is He Who has let free the two bodies of flowing water: one palatable and sweet and the other salt and bitter; yet has He made a barrier between them, a partition that is forbidden to be passed.
sura fater:
12. Nor are the two bodies of flowing water alike― the one palatable, sweet, and pleasant to drink, and the other salty and bitter. Yet from each (kind of water) do ye eat flesh fresh and tender and ye extract ornaments to wear; and thou seest the ships therein that plough the waves, that ye may seek (thus) of the Bounty of Allah that ye may be grateful.
sura naml:
61. Or, who has made the earth firm to live in; made rivers in its midst; set thereon mountains immovable; and made a separating bar between the two bodies of flowing water? (Can there be another) god besides Allah? Nay most of them know not.
Or instead of “a wizard did it” we accept the science of it and put religion where it belongs. A thing to explain what we don’t understand not the creator of things we don’t understand.
This picture is not from Denmark.. As you can see in the background there are mountains, and no where in Denmark will you find mountains or be able to see mountains. This picture is of the Gulf of Alaska..
Thanks for pointing that out, Jen. I found the image online with a description that it is off the coast of Denmark. I’ll look in to it some more and update the details… Do you know more about where this is? I suppose the best thing would be to find the photographer… Cheers
This blog is a place where I share all the watery stuff I find here and there. Occasionally I post my own images with stories about how they came to be but most of the time it is just marine themed miscellany... For my main Photographic portfolio please visit AreWeDreaming.com
Many of the images here are found floating around on the internet and occasionally are lacking any attribution. I never claim to create them and they are clearly tagged as "found". Wherever possible I try to find the original creator and link to their site, but sometimes this is not so easy. If I have posted your work and you wish for me to remove it, or add a link to your work please
